Two of the key Independent Charge Point Operators have joined forces to create a business capable of meeting the increasing demand for Electric Vehicles through the rapid expansion of the national network of charge points.
Operators Plug-N-Go and EV Driver will join forces to create a combined network of 72 charge points, with an aim to roll out another 316 within the next 12 months.
Plug-N-Go Group offers EV charging to all. Its offering is based on reliability, excellent customer service and a cost effective solution. PNG operates across the UK, Channel Islands and Gibraltar. The group is growing organically and by acquisition.
EV Driver was founded by owner Linda Grave in 2016. Her mission: to create the first public network of EV charge points in East Anglia. By establishing competitive charging solutions to local authorities as well as the commercial and domestic market EV Driver is now regarded as the region’s market leader in the EV charging field.
EV Driver will continue to fulfil demand for consultancy and advisory services to both public and private sectors in this fast growing industry.
Keith Hounsell, Founder & CEO of Plug-N-Go, stated that the challenges of being an Independent Operator in this market and competing with the large multi-national fuel companies are significant, but are manageable if the independents work together.

The joint venture will be branded as Plug-N-Go. Existing customers will see no changes with the operating platform, but will have access to a larger combined network.

EV Driver will continue to operate in the domestic and advisory sectors.
